Italy is and remains a land of longing – poets and architects of the 19th century already let themselves be inspired during their travels through Italy, like the famous master builder Karl Friedrich Schinkel, who decisively contributed to the Classicist and Historicist character of the present-day capital like no other. The wish for classical elegance also persists two-hundred years later. This can be seen and experienced most impressively in Mitte, only a few minutes from the Gendarmenmarkt. The name of the conspicuous building already demonstrates the great importance ascribed to Mediterranean flair: “Fellini Residences”.
